To promote the sightseeing image of Gironde, the Conseil Général is primarily supported by the Comité Départemental du Tourisme, and all tourist offices located in the département.

The Ȋle Nouvelle is only accessible to the public within the framework of a guided tour delivered by qualified staff. The purpose of this is to offer tours which respect the management and optimisation project in progress on the site (environmental and architectural) and comply with relevant safety conditions.

During the estate's busiest time of the year between April and September, visitors can hire mountain bikes, canoes, kayaks and pedal boats from the water sports centre.
Open throughout the year, the estate organises and offers its facilities to partners for sports and cultural events aimed at a wide range of audiences, from primary school and secondary school pupils to families and amateur or professional sports players.
Have you heard of sand yachting or ever tried your hand at climbing, scuba diving or surfing? Throughout the summer, 20 CAP33 centres are offering families and individuals aged 15 and over, the opportunity to discover and practice a multitude of sports and leisure activities.

The aim of the Conseil Général de la Gironde is to showcase the biological magnificence of Natural Areas to as many people as possible, in order to increase awareness of the necessity to preserve the natural environment and biodiversity of our département.

At the heart of the Landes forest in Gironde, the estate boasts 600 hectares of natural surroundings including 5 lakes, one of which is reserved for water activities, another for bathing activities, not to mention water sports such as canoeing-kayaking, sailing and beach polo.
To promote access to sport for young people across the département, the Conseil Général is
actively involved in developing the offering of sport by way of a generous
operation of targeted aid. Sports clubs, associations, communes, schools and any
other organisations involved in maintaining and developing sports opportunities
in Gironde are eligible to receive
departmental aid in various forms.
